Abwoon is the first word of the Lord’s prayer in Aramaic. Abwoon describes the power of the universe to give birth to new life in every moment.
Abwoon D’bwashmaya
O birther! Father-Mother of the cosmos/you
create all that moves in light.
This meditation connects us with our Muladhara Chakra or “root place”. It is the first of the seven main chakra’s, identified by the color red, the four petal lotus and the element earth. Connecting with Abwoon and the Root Chakra will ground you, give you a sense of security and provide you with the necessary foundation in your physical body to carry out the daily task of living.
Connecting us to our creative and fluid aspect of sensation, sensuality, Femininity and mother energy is the Holy Mother of God and the Svadhisthana Chakra. Giving reverence and honor to the grace bestowed upon Mary the Blessed virgin has been a timeless tradtition among many Christians. Meditating on the Miracle of her life and the faith in which she served God, gives us the chance to experience the grace which flowed through her and is available to move through us. The chakra is represented by the color orange, the six petal lotus, and the water element. Nurturing a relationship with Mary is a way for us to connect with our Divine Mother, our creative source within and our capacity to have relationships over flowing with god’s grace.
Simply meditating on the name of Jesus brings us in closer contact with His healing Light and Truth. The Malkuthakh that Jesus spoke of in the Lord’s prayer is the “I Can” of the Cosmos and connects us with our solar plexus or Manipura Chakra. This is the seat of our will power, our purpose, our fire energy, the 10 petal lotus and the yellow-gold color of strength and power. We are fortified with this strength when with Repetition of his name we connect to the Light of God through the illuminating spirit of his son. Here we find the strength to know who we are, face who we are and flourish in the unlimited strength and potential of who we are. This is the “I Am” and “I can” mantra. Jesus wasn’t any more or less of who he truly was, and that truth is his gift to us.
Alleluia is an expression of thanksgiving, joy and triumph. repeating it puts us in our heart where love resides and love prevails. This is the Anahata Chakra, the 12 petal lotus, the color green, the center and link between heaven and earth. The message of the heart is simply:
Peace on earth and loving kindness.
Love each other as I loved you. (John 15:12)
Love divine uncompromising.
Love divine truth and forgiveness.
OUr throat is where nature separates the men from the boys, so to speak. Rather this is the place that sets humans apart from the animals. The sixteen petal lotus, the color blue, and the ability to seek and speak our truth is the gift of our throat chakra, or Vishuddha.
“In the beginning was the word, and the word was with god and the word was god.” John 1:1.
When we pray and speak to god we have the opportunity to experience the reciprocal and unending conversation with his care and protection.
Sophia is the Biblical term for wisdom and relates to the book Song of Songs. The song is about recognizing the knowledge within and the intuitive understanding available to us. Its companion, the Ajna Chakra, means “command” center in the sense of spiritual guidance and encourages us to surrender to the will of God. There is wisdom in letting go, allowing the two petal lotus, the color of indigo (or white) to permeate the center of the brow or third eye. It is here that the seat of intuition guides and directs us.
The Sahasrara Chakra or crown chakra connects us to the 1,000 petal lotus, the color violet, and our transcendent or cosmic consciousness. This is where we meet God and the Angels and connect with our true home in the heavens.
“Angel of God my Guardian Dear, to whom God’s love brings me here, Ever this day, be at my side, To Light, to Guide, to Rule and Guard. Amen.”
